#DISCO ZOO PATTERNS ICE AGE SERIES#The series presents puppet shows designed for the youngest theater patrons (ages 0-4). When: Most Wednesdays, Saturdays, & Sundays at 10am Told with rod puppets and wonderful special effects, the show is a real treat for princesses and princes, big and small! Recommended for PreK – Grade 4. Yet another elegant production created by the Puppet Co., “Sleeping Beauty” combines romance and adventure in a story of fairies, frogs, kings and queens, and of course, a sleeping princess and the gallant prince destined to find her. #DISCO ZOO PATTERNS ICE AGE FREE#This interactive show includes a free play session, encouraging audience members to use their own creativity with some of the items from the show. While playing dress-up, a glove becomes a dancing fish, a shirt becomes a fantastical creature, and a sock dance rocks the closet. It’s bedtime in Inside Out, but instead of getting ready for bed, two children use their imaginations to turn their room into a wonderland of mess. Go for nature walks through the woods, visit the Washington Youth Garden, romp in open green spaces and at the old Capitol columns, and enjoy one of the loveliest outdoor spaces in the city. Hike the short trails and let the kids romp on the playground, then visit the nature center where you can see turtles, snakes, and other creatures in terrariums and discover more about the natural world in the Kids Cave. Thursday – Explore and play at Potomac Overlook Park in Arlington. The show recommended for ages 1-5 is about two children use their imaginations to turn their room into a wonderland of mess! A “free play” session follows. Wednesday – Catch a performance of Inside Out at Imagination Stage. Admission is $15.95/adults, $13.95/seniors, $9.95/students & children 7 and up, free for ages 6 and under. The colorful, quirky works - some of them interactive - can be appreciated by art buffs of all ages. Tuesday – Venture up to Baltimore to see some of the most wonderful, whimsical art around at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore. Be sure to check schedules for showtimes. And the Air & Space Museum’s Lockheed Martin IMAX Theatre presents Hidden Universe 3D, Hubble 3D, The Dream is Alive, and To Fly! Tickets are $9/adults, $8/seniors, $7.50/youth.
